🫓How to feed your brood on a budget? I've got m 🫓How to feed your brood on a budget? I've got monthly themes and weekly posts.

🫓This month I am big on bread, this week flatbreads.

🫓The recipe will be added online shortly, but in the meantime, the instructions are super-easy, so I can include them here.

🫓200g plain flour, 100ml warm water, 2 tbsp olive oil

🫓Mix the flour, oil and water together. Knead until smooth and take golf ball-sized balls of dough and roll out as flat as possible.

🫓Fry in a hot, dry pan for 2 mins each side. The bread will bubble up with pockets of air. Be careful not to burn on the underside.

🫓And that is it! Simple and cheap as chips!

🥧It's in my plan to pop a quick fussy eating tip up every week. There will be a set of recurring themes each month. This theme is Eating Together.

🥧Eating together is a really brilliant way to help promote positive eating behaviours and turn stressful eating experiences into fun times. This may sound counterintuitive if you find eating with your kids super stressful, but if you're keen to turn it around, you can set the tone by creating playful conversations and fun experiences whilst you eat together at the table.

🥧To help make eating together more enjoyable, why not try to focus on having fun. That means bringing the conversation to their level (sometimes that just has to be talking about poo) and keeping your sensible adult attitude in check. Yes, it's great to make sure they don't put their feet on the table, but you can remind them to keep their feet down in a fun way. Maybe doing an impression of the queen as you ask them to remove their feet from the table, or playing a fun game around the table to invent the most disgusting combination of foods possible is just what you need to get you all laughing!

🍌Homeschooling Day 2 went much better than the first. We're finding a routine, but my goodness it's tricky getting everything done.

🍌I'm pretty chuffed that I'm still keeping to my 2021 content calendar (well, it's slipped a few days, but that's ok) and I managed to take photos of our eggy bread for lunch.

🍌I haven't managed to get a recipe up on my website just yet, but I can tell you how it goes here.

🍌1 egg per slice of bread. Add a dash of milk and a splash of vanilla essence if you have any. Fry in oil or butter on a medium heat for a couple of minutes each side.

🍌I serve with defrosted berries, banana and yoghurt. What would you serve it with?

🍌Great little lunch for the family. 😘
