I made this dish up when I wanted to get away with having steak for tea more often! I love steak. Drool. Anyway, you'll be impressed with just how amazingly quick and easy this dish is and by how quickly the kids can fling egg noodles on every surface going with their training chopsticks!

  • 2 tbsp sesame seed oil
  • 2 sirloin steak
  • egg noodles (1 nest per person)
  • 75g frozen shallots
  • 50g frozen onion
  • 50g frozen ginger
  • 300g stir fry veg
  • 2 tbsp runny honey
  • soy sauce for the table


  1. Preheat wok-like pan and boil kettle
  2. Once pan is sizzling hot, place sesame seed oil and steak into pan and fry for 2-3 mins each side depending on thickness of steak and how pink you'd like it
  3. ?
  4. Meanwhile in a mixing bowl, cover egg noodles with boiling water
  5. Take steak off heat and allow to rest between two dinner plates
  6. Re-use dirty pan to brown off frozen shallots, frozen garlic and frozen ginger on a high heat
  7. Add sir fry veg and drained noodles, stirring on heat for 2 mins
  8. Slice up rested steak in strips 1 cm wide across the length of the steak
  9. Transfer noodles and veg to serving dish and top with sliced steak and drizzle with honey
  10. Include soy sauce on the table
  11. ENJOY!
