SAUSAGE AND WHITE BEAN STEW

Have you noticed how amazing the texture of a slow-cooked sausage is? Well, you're about to find out. I think the subtle combination of honey and thyme make brilliant friends on the plate to give this traditional dish a new, family-friendly twist. This is a slow cooker meal, so get it sorted at breakfast and you'll be laughing when you come home to luscious goodness at tea time.

Ingredients

  • 100g frozen onions
  • 50g frozen garlic
  • 1.6kg sausages (4 packs)
  • 2 x 400g tins of cannellini beans
  • 2 x 400g tins of butter beans
  • ---
  • 30g fresh thyme
  • green veg
  • 4 tbsp runny honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat slow cooker
  2. Throw all ingredients above the dotted line plus the leaves from half the thyme into slow cooker
  3. Slow cook for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low
  4. Prepare green veg before serving half accompanied by honey and garnished with remaining thyme leaves
  5. Cool, bag, label and freeze the second half for next week
  6. ENJOY!
